Show #004: The secret of success according to a bestselling business author
Aug 25th, 2007 by Jon Coulter
Robin Sieger, the international business author and world class business speaker who specialises in success strategies - happens to be a personal hero of mine, which is why I am delighted to interview him this week.
Diagnosed with cancer in his late 20’s, Robin started to ask himself questions as to why certain people are successful and others are not. He distilled his research and thinking into an international business bestseller ‘Natural Born Winners’.
In this week’s show, Robin shares with us the secret to being successful in business. Robin’s definition of success is simply, ‘The gradual realisation of your goals’, but to achieve your goals he recommends that you:
- BE VERY CLEAR ABOUT WHAT YOU WANT, define your goals
- BELIEVE YOU CAN ACHIEVE IT, only then will your behaviour and thoughts be congruent
- DON’T GIVE UP ON YOUR GOAL, but by all means be flexible with your strategy
- DON’T FEED YOUR FEAR, 99% of the things we fear are imagined, focus on what you want to happen not what you don’t want to happen
- PUSH YOURSELF OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE
To find out more abot Robin Sieger go to Sieger International or Google ‘Robin Sieger’.
He’s published numerous books, but my personal recommendations would be ‘Natural Born Winners’ and ‘42 Days to Wealth, Health and Happiness’. You can purchase them at Sieger International
