Matthew Riley, Founder and CEO of Lancashire-based telecoms firm Daisy Communications, is without doubt the UK’s hottest young entrepreneur, having recently won both the Bank of Scotland Corporate’s inaugural Entrepreneur Challenge and Ernst & Young’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2007.

In this week’s show, 33 year old North West born entrepreneur Matthew Riley, talks to us about his early career and describes how he built Daisy Communications, named at number 28 in Deloitte’s Fast 50 Chart, into the award winning telecoms business that it is today.
He also outlines what he thinks makes a successful entrepreneur and shares the amazing stories behind the recent award wins and subsequent prizes - which, for the Bank of Scotland Corporate award included a £5 million, 3 year interest free loan (equivalent to £1 million saving) plus 4 days mentoring from the retail powerhouse Sir Philip Green - the British billionaire behind Bhs and Arcadia Group.
Matthew also shares his ambitious plans for Daisy Communications to meet its challenge of becoming the real alternative to BT in the business communications landscape.
