In this week’s show, I catch up with Beaverbrooks Director - Daniel Brown, who explains why the company pride themselves on being the best employer they possibly can be. And for you business pragmatists out there, Daniel also outlines why he believes treating people well, ultimately puts more money in the till.
Daniel fervently believes that happy employees lead to more satisfied customers and subsequently better business results. His tips to other organisations looking to follow Beaverbrooks example include:
- THE PEOPLE AT THE TOP OF THE ORGANISATION MUST GENUINELY BELIEVE THAT TREATING PEOPLE WELL IS CRITICAL TO SUCCESS
- DO IT FOR THE RIGHT REASONS, NOT JUST TO MAKE MONEY
- LISTEN TO YOUR PEOPLE AND ACT ON THEIR FEEDBACK
- BELIEVE IN WHAT IS POSSIBLE
